Varroa Controller – Concept and Design

The patented Varroa Controller is a quality product made in Austria, developed since 2008. It enables pest control against the Varroa mite without any use of chemicals. Hence, the production of residue-free, superb beekeeping products is getting simpler by far.

The design of the machine is completely integrated into one enclosure to enhance mobility. The main components are:

• Heating
• Ventilation
• Humidification
• Control unit
• Sensors

The Varroa Controller performs with a high usability - the only thing to be done by the beekeeper is to inject the temperature sensure into one brood frame, to close the lid, and to start up the automatic control program by hitting a button. After that, the treatment will run from alone until a buzzer indicates the completion. Then the brood frames can be returned to their original hives.

This design allows the simultanous treating of 18 brood frames in 2 hours.

Stainless steel positioning rails that can be removed as well as surface coated interior material makes cleaning of the machine's treatment chamber easy.
